Gary S. Okun passed away on May 23, 2026, in Los Angeles, California, at the age of 74.

Born on September 7, 1951, in California to Sam Okun and Lois Kathren, Gary spent much of his life in Los Angeles County, where he lived for approximately 38 years. He dedicated more than two decades of service to the community as a scheduler for Metro public transportation, working in that role for about 21 years.

Gary will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to his wife.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Eva R. Okun.

Gary's memory will be cherished by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
