John A. Smith Jr., born September 15, 1952, the beloved son of John Arthur Smith, Sr. and Delores E. Gaither, passed away on February 24, 2024, in Paramount, California. John was a longtime resident of Los Angeles, a proud veteran of the armed forces, John's commitment to his country was a defining aspect of his life. While the specifics of his service remain private, his contributions are deeply appreciated and honored by all who knew him.

He was laid to rest at Riverside National Cemetery on June 10, 2024. A private service was held to commemorate his life and service.  John's memory will be cherished by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
