Obituary

Tracy Marie Reynolds, born on February 4, 1963, in Los Angeles, passed away on August 27, 2024, in Bakersfield, where she had lived for 11 years. She was the cherished daughter of Billy Earl Hardaway of Arkansas and Ruth Longino of Mississippi. Throughout her life, Tracy also made homes in Arkansas and Milwaukee. A woman of immense strength and resilience, she worked in various roles, including tomato picker, waitress, short order cook, janitor, and warehouse worker.

Tracy was married to Kenneth Dwayne Reynolds and was the proud mother of Jerome Hardaway and loving grandmother to Desiraee Shavon Hardaway, both of Los Angeles. Her heart was boundless, and she treated everyone like family, always willing to share a meal or give whatever she could to help someone in need.

Known for her candid honesty, Tracy never held back, speaking her mind freely and unapologetically. Her legacy of love, kindness, and strength will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her. Rest in peace, Tracy. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

A letter from her son Jerome

Dear Mom,

A mother, a sister, an auntie, and last but not least a grandmother.

You will be miss by many.

For every ending sparks a new beginning.  Seasons change,

the flowers grow.  Your name will forever know.

Tracy Marie Reynolds

The realest black woman that you will ever know.

May your heart finally be whole, no longer with a hole

and your lungs can breathe with ease.

We love you 4 ever.
